As predicted, I slept a lot on the bus today. Off we zoomed down the Autobahn stopping at a few stops in both Berlin and Amsterdam. Across the road from the service restaurant was a McDonalds so a few of us ran through the underpass to have the most delicious Kit-Kat McFlurry I have ever eaten; it had caramel in it!
The next stop was at a Cheese and Clogs factory where we saw one of the workers carve a clog in just a few minutes. It was amazing craftsmanship, and the tools they use are astounding. We also saw the different types of cheese the family business makes and learnt how different cheese ages and, indeed, hardens. There was also a giant clog that almost fit Justine’s foot.
After getting into Amsterdam and settling ourselves into our hotel we had a provided meal then headed off to Casa Rosso, a live sex show. We wandered through the red light district, down fat alley and down skinny alley before arriving at the show. It was a very interesting experience, with four couples on a revolving stage and two single acts featuring bananas and permanent marker. I think we can leave the descriptions there.
